The stack is conveyed by the conveyor system to the area of ​​the strapping machine.

The lower sliver chute (designed as a fixed chute or extendable lance) closes the sliver guide around the stack. The strapping is fed through the strap channel and the strapping head mounted on top moves to the stack to form the seal.

To create additional straps, the stack is either repositioned by the conveyor system in the strapping machine (stationary version) or the strapping machine itself moves to the next strapping position (movable version). A double-head version is available for applying 2 straps at the same time.

In addition, edge protection can be applied during the strapping process or cover sheets etc. can be attached. Squared timber can also be fed in from a magazine. A pressing device acting from above or from the side can be integrated.
